Being urban and suburban dwellers we sometimes miss out on some very natural and pleasurable experiences. Like resting in the open air. But it can be done.
When I worked at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, I took to the habit of going out at lunchtime, onto the National Mall between the Capitol and the Washington Monument, and lying on the grass, under a tree, to enjoy a nap and the cooling breeze.
It was a little scary at first, being vulnerable, but it was also enriching, restful, and peaceful.
Get some rest in the open air, it will do you good!
